Ilpo Huhtaniemi received his MD and PhD at University of Helsinki, Finland, and has honorary doctorates at Universities of Lodz, Szeged and Tartu. He retired in 2015 from the Chair in Reproductive Endocrinology at Imperial College London. His research interests include clinical and basic reproductive endocrinology, in particular the function of gonadotrophins and male reproductive endocrinology. He has authored >700 peer-reviewed PubMed cited research articles and reviews, with >28,000 citations, and H-factor of 83.
