Dr. Sziller is honorary professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Semmelweis University, Budapest. He graduated at the same University and received his PhD there for epidemiology and clinical consequences of gentital chlamydial infections in 2001. At present, he is head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Szent Imre University Teaching Hospital in Budapest, and chief officer of the Hungarian Register of Perinatal Statistics. His research interests include infectious diseases in obstetrics and gynecology, physiologic development of fetal and neonatal hearing, and intrahepatic cholestasis in pregnancy. He authored a book on obstetric and gynecologic infections, more than 20 book chapters, and 150 publications in international and Hungarian scientific journals. His independent citations exceed 1600, and the h-index is 20. Dr. Sziller is Deputy Editor of the Hungarian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, founding and Board member of the European Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynecology, ESIDOG.
