Henry Gabelnick, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Previously, he was Executive Director of CONRAD which has as its mission the improvement of reproductive health with emphasis on developing countries. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from MIT and his Ph.D. from Princeton University. He has been an advisor to UNDP, WHO, and many of the Institutes of NIH and has served on the editorial boards of several journals. He was made a Lifetime Member of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility in 2004 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at 5th International AIDS Congress in Chennai, India in 2006. In May 2010, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Conference on Microbicides in Pittsburgh.
